About Us

Suzanne is the CEO of Responder Recruitment, and an expert in developing digital strategies. Social and Digital Media are her strengths and creating engaging marketing campaigns for clients is her passion. She also works one-on-one with Responder’s parent company Shout Media for full marketing, web, digital, social, and creative direction. With over fifteen years of experience working with hundreds of clients, Suzanne is an expert in recruitment marketing for first responders. She frequently attends conferences on the challenges that police, military and EMS are facing to learn strategic insights on how to solve recruitment issues.

Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, Kristi honed her digital recruitment marketing skills at a top advertising agency in the U.S. specializing in recruitment. As our Director of Responder Recruitment, she’s constantly tweaking our process so we can provide our recruitment clients with the most effective solutions to their hiring challenges. With over 5 years of recruitment marketing experience, and previously being our Director of Client Success, Kristi always puts an emphasis on making sure our recruitment clients’ needs are met. She leads our Responder Recruitment team ensuring that we see results throughout our holistic recruitment process.

Maija joined the Responder Recruitment team in 2021 and quickly moved into her Account Management Lead role. Maija holds an HBA in Psychology from Lakehead University, a Human Resource Management certificate from Confederation College and brings with her years of customer service and account management experience. A lover of all things client focused, Maija enjoys working alongside both staff and clients managing projects. Meeting timelines are always her goal. Maija is an expert in Employer Branding and our resident go-to for advanced Indeed, LinkedIn and Glassdoor campaigns.

After graduating with a Business Administration Marketing degree from Fanshawe College, Chelsea honed her skills as a social media strategist. She’s an ultra organized team leader which made her a natural fit for becoming the Responder Recruitment Project Management Lead. Chelsea manages all Responder Recruitment projects by working with our internal team to ensure each project gets finished on time and within budget. She has become the master of all recruitment marketing services!

Chris Adams is our Consultant at Responder Recruitment. Chris provides communication and management services to organizations who are focused on public safety including the Manitoba First Nations Police Service. He is also very proud to be a member of the Responder Recruitment team.

Chris retired in 2023 after a 20-year career with the Thunder Bay Police Service where he was the Director of Communications and Technology. Prior to policing, Chris worked for 20 years in creative and leadership positions with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and private television.

Chris’s credentials include:

• Associate member of the Canadian Association of Police Chiefs, the Manitoba Association of Chiefs of Police, and a retired member of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police
• Project lead for numerous public safety projects, communication, audits
• Certified Municipal Manager – Level III – Police Professional designation
