Overview

Our partnership with Edmonton Police Services (EPS) began in 2023.

As one of Canada’s leading police services, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) faced a significant challenge: standing out in a highly competitive landscape and establishing a distinctive employer brand.

Our approach started with a deep dive into understanding the organization’s needs and the community it serves. Through comprehensive surveys and insights from both officers and the community, we identified a key opportunity to attract and retain candidates with the right persona and values aligned with EPS.

Our solution included a strategic employer brand refresh, a targeted custom marketing plan, and the design and launch of a dynamic career webpage tailored to engage the right candidates.

The result? A revitalized employer brand that resonates with top talent and strengthens the EPS workforce for the long term.

Work Completed

Stage 01:

Employer Brand

We created the current EPS employer brand to represent the voice and people of EPS, which ensures authenticity when marketing EPS to candidates.

This process included an audit of the candidate journey as well as qualitative anonymous surveys both within the organization and within the community to understand the organization and the job market as a whole.

By utilizing the insights from the audit and surveys, we were able to develop the employer brand, which included an employee value proposition, vision and mission statement, organizational culture, and an overall personality. After the employer brand messaging was established, the visual identity was brought to life.

Stage 02:

Recruitment Marketing Strategy

This stage also leveraged insights from the audit and surveys, the employer brand, our team’s expertise, and industry best practices to develop a comprehensive recruitment marketing strategy for how to reach and engage with the ideal target audience.

Stage 03:

New Careers Website

Utilizing the employer brand, our team designed and developed the new joineps.ca website, which met rigorous security standards to protect EPS’s sensitive data and systems.

Stage 04:

Campaign Launch

Lastly, our team implemented a comprehensive recruitment marketing campaign to attract passive and active candidates to help improve recruitment and retention.

This included developing personas and target audiences, building out company pages, and a full Indeed campaign that was managed and edited to reach optimum results.

What EPS has to say:

“Working with Responder Recruitment has been easy. The quality of their work has been excellent, but above and beyond that, the personable nature of the entire team, their flexibility and responsiveness and just how easy they have made it to partner with them has been wonderful.”
